Selling on eBay: Auction Listing Tips
I have been covering the work-at-home opportunity of making money with eBay. Now, I am going to focus on tips. Since eBay is a popular way to make money from home, you need a way to make your eBay auctions standout and in a good way. So, what can you do?
1 – Choose a Good Headline
You are given one line to write a heading for your eBay auction. This is first thing that browsers and searchers will see. Highlight what you sell. You are limited on space, but describe the product, its brand name and model number, or size. Also state whether an item is new or used.
A good headline would be “Old Navy Jeans 5T Toddler Girls Clothes New.”
2 – Write a Good Description
When creating an eBay auction listing page, you need to write a description. Provide as much information as possible. State again the brand, model number, size, and condition. You can also go into detail and describe it. For example, if the above mentioned Old Navy Toddler Jeans have four pockets, state so.
It is also important to make sure your eBay auction descriptions are easy to read. Avoid long sentences and paragraphs. Do not opt for a fancy font, but one that is easy to read. To reduce spelling errors, type of your description first in Microsoft Word or Works and then copy and paste.
3 – Upload a Picture
If you want to be a successful seller on eBay, you need to have a picture of what you are selling. Most shoppers will not buy a product without seeing a picture first. So grab your digital camera and take a good, clear shot.
