How to Find Things to Sell on eBay

Published by jenfoote at 11:31 pm under Make Money Edit This

If you want to try making money from home by selling on eBay, you may wonder how you can find things to sell. The good news is that you have many options.

1 – Your Home

If you have never sold on eBay before, you are encouraged to start with items around your home. List any clothes, toys, books, movies, or home décor items, you no longer want or need. This is a great way to test the waters, as you don’t have to invest any money in buying things to sell.

2 – Yard Sales

Although it is too cold for yard sales now, you can use them next year to find things to sell on eBay. You can sell a wide range of products on eBay, but antiques, kid toys, kids clothes, and plus sized clothing are good sellers.

3 – Thrift Stores

Thrift stores are another good way to find things to sell on eBay. You will pay more for these items than at a yard sale, but you can shop at a thrift store all year round. To make money, limit your costs. Shop when your thrift stores have special sale days.

4 – Wholesale Suppliers

If you have already tested the eBay waters and liked what you saw, you can make an investment. That investment is buying things to sell. Whether you want to specialize in clothes, toys, books, movies, or whatever, you can find a wholesale supplier to do business with. By purchasing items in bulk, you receive a wholesale discount. This is what enables you to make a profit.

When reconnecting with my Father last year, after 24 years with no contact, he got me into selling on eBay. I started, as you advised, with excess possessions that I did not need. My Father, however, has been running a business for some time, acquiring products to sell by buying Storage Facility auction lots. His store does have some bizarre things on it that do not sell, but, some of the strangest things actually do. His store is “Found it Treasures”.
